Therapeutic nutrition and healing support for dogs

You can see your dog
isn’t quite themselves.

You have already done tests, changed foods and tried treatments. There may be a diagnosis, or there may still be no clear answer, but the itching continues, the paws are constantly licked, allergic reactions appear, grass eating persists, diarrhea or unstable stools recur, or your dog simply seems uncomfortable. They have been more tired, restless, less vital, or just not themselves for some time.

Even if conventional veterinary medicine has not given you a complete answer, I am here to help you finally understand what is happening in your dog’s body and what they need in order to begin rebuilding.

Avital Rien and Tani together

The principles behind our work

Therapeutic nutrition

Home-prepared food tailored precisely to your dog's biological needs.

Whole-system thinking

Looking at the body as one complete system, not only at the symptom.

Continuous personal support

Step by step, with close attention to the body's responses.

When veterinary medicine has not found the answer, it does not mean there is nothing left to understand.

We look at the body differently.

How I work

Connecting the details
into one picture.

I don’t consider the itching, the vomiting or the latest blood test in isolation. I look at when it all began, what came before it, and what makes it better or worse.

Together, we look at:

  1. Current nutrition and dietary history
  2. Digestion and bowel movements
  3. Medical history and previous treatments
  4. Sleep quality, behavior and lifestyle changes

From there, we decide what to remove, what to add and at what pace, so we can see what truly helps without creating more strain. First, we work to bring the body back toward balance. Then we balance and refine the nutrition around what your dog actually needs.

01

Widen the lens

Examine the full picture of your dog’s life and history.

02

Connect the systems

Understand the relationship between digestion, skin, immunity and overall wellbeing.

03

Listen to the response

Move forward consistently and precisely, guided by what the body shows us in practice.

Who this support is for

When your dog is no longer themselves,
and the conventional path has not provided a complete answer.

Digestive symptoms

Vomiting, diarrhea, reflux, gas, grass eating, unstable stools, mucus or blood in the stool, loss of appetite and food sensitivities.

Skin and ear issues

Persistent itching, paw licking, excessive shedding, strong body odor, discharge, redness, sores and recurring inflammation.

A decline in overall wellbeing

Fatigue, discomfort, restlessness, disrupted sleep, pain, low energy or the sense that your dog simply has not returned to themselves.

A move to real food

For people who understand that dogs truly need real, nourishing food rather than processed food, and want guidance on how to do it properly.

My promise throughout the process

Deep biological repair.
Not management of the existing condition.

We change the conditions within the body and build genuine health and resilience. When the body begins working properly again, it shows in how your dog feels and moves through life. At the same time, your family learns to understand your dog and read their signals.

01

Deep biological repair

Changing the conditions that created the imbalance in the first place, rather than merely managing its outward expression.

02

Vitality and joy

Appetite, energy, curiosity and playfulness return, and your dog is free to enjoy life again.

03

Physical resilience and calm

Building a more stable, resilient body and a calmer dog who is no longer occupied with coping with internal imbalance.

How it works

What happens
once we begin?

The process lasts three months so you do not have to experiment alone, wonder whether a response matters, or change direction every few days.

01

Map everything that has happened

We begin with an in-depth questionnaire and a mapping session. I connect the symptoms, nutrition, digestion, test results, treatments and changes that preceded the current condition.

02

Reduce burdens and build a foundation

We remove foods and ingredients that may be adding strain, build a diet for the dog's current biological state, and decide what to change first without overwhelming the body.

03

Track and refine through response

You are not left alone with a meal plan. We follow stools, appetite, sleep, skin and energy day by day, and adapt the process to your dog's progress.

The process includesAn in-depth questionnaire, a comprehensive mapping session, personalized nutritional planning, continuous WhatsApp follow-up and consultation calls as needed

Nutrition tailored to the dog in front of me

We build each meal around what the body needs now.

Simple, whole and precise food, with adjustments guided by your dog’s response throughout the process.

Families who have walked this path with me

“Thanks to Avital, I learned to truly listen to my dog.”

Sivan and Bamba together

Thanks to Avital, I learned to truly listen to my dog, understand her signals and know how to help her.

I came to Avital after a difficult and frightening veterinary diagnosis: my dog was said to have chronic kidney failure. Bamba refused the prescription food, vomited, and I felt terrified and helpless.

From our first phone call, I knew I had someone I could trust. No prescription food she refused to eat and no injections. Instead, home-prepared food tailored personally to Bamba and her specific needs.

Today Bamba is completely healthy, and all of those diagnoses are no longer relevant.

Thanks to Avital, I learned to truly listen to my dog, understand her signals and know how to help her. Thank you for never making me feel alone.

Miko, an eight-year-old Pomeranian

Within a few weeks, what felt like a miracle happened: the wheezing almost completely disappeared.

When the veterinarian told us that Miko had a collapsed trachea and an enlarged heart, and that the wheezing would stay with him for life, my heart simply broke. He could barely breathe, the wheezing never stopped, and I felt helpless in the face of his suffering.

I did not understand what food had to do with any of it until I met Avital. From the very beginning, she calmed me and explained how reducing the inflammatory load in his bowl and tailoring precise, cooked nutrition could ease the burden on his lungs and heart.

Within a few weeks, what felt like a miracle happened: the wheezing almost completely disappeared. Miko went back to breathing easily, jumping, playing and running like a puppy, as if we had been given a completely new dog.

Avital, thank you for being there for us every step of the way, for never giving up and for giving us back our healthy, happy boy.

Cookie lost the excess weight, the pressure on her trachea decreased significantly, and her breathing became completely quiet.

My Cookie is already 12. She had a collapsed trachea and excess weight that was making even short walks difficult. The veterinarian prescribed weight-loss food, but she simply refused to eat it.

I was frustrated, I could see her losing her vitality, and I did not know what to do. Then I came to Avital. With extraordinary sensitivity, she created a cooked, delicious menu tailored precisely to Cookie’s needs. Cookie rushed to the bowl from the very first day.

A few months later, Cookie has lost the excess weight, the pressure on her trachea has decreased significantly, and her breathing is completely quiet. She is lively, light and full of joy again, just as she was at two years old.

Avital, you are an angel. There is simply no one like you.

Tommy sitting in a green field

Within a short time, the diarrhea stopped completely, and Tommy began gaining weight and catching up developmentally.

I adopted Tommy from a shelter when he was five months old. He was thin and weak, with relentless diarrhea and a developmental delay that was heartbreaking. We tried one brand after another, antibiotics and tests, but nothing helped. His stomach did not settle and he simply did not grow.

Avital was our lifeline. She explained that his gut was overwhelmed and needed to be rebuilt from the root. She supported us day by day, followed every bowel movement and every change, and guided us with endless patience.

Within a short time, the diarrhea stopped completely. Tommy began absorbing his food, gained weight, his coat filled out and he suddenly caught up on all the developmental ground he had missed.

Today he is an energetic, strong and healthy young dog who never stops running. I do not know what I would have done without you.

It began with Tani

The diagnoses accumulated.
But they did not explain her.

Tani was suspected of having epilepsy, Cushing’s disease and chronic kidney failure. She experienced neurological seizures, blood in her stool and vomiting. Five months without sleep and with a profound sense of helplessness, alongside numerous courses of antibiotics. Had I accepted each diagnosis without truly understanding, she could have entered a treatment path that did not suit her and significantly harmed her quality of life.

I refused to choose a treatment merely to make her fit a diagnosis. I returned to her body: what she ate, how she digested it, when each response appeared and what had changed before it all began. From there, the picture started to become clear.

I’m Avital Rien, a graduate of the CIVT Natural and Integrative Animal Nutrition program. Today I support families who want to stop guessing, understand their dog and build health and resilience they can continue nurturing long after our work together ends.

Frequently asked questions

Before we begin

Who is this support especially suited for?

For families who have seen for some time that their dog is not themselves, even when tests provide no clear answer, and even after trying foods, medications or treatments that did not create a meaningful change.

Will I receive a meal plan?

Yes. I create a nutritional plan based on your dog's condition, but I do not leave you alone with it. We observe how the body responds and make changes when needed.

What if a recommendation does not suit my dog?

We do not continue simply because it is the conventional recommendation. I evaluate every step against your dog's history and real-life response, and change course when the body shows us that something else is needed.

Why does the process last three months?

This is usually the period that allows the body to renew itself and build enough resilience to keep progressing independently, while giving us time to balance and refine the diet around what your dog truly needs. You are not given a meal plan and left on your own; you receive close support throughout the process.

Compatibility check

Not sure
where to begin?

Tell me in the questionnaire what your dog is experiencing, how long it has been going on, what they eat and what you have already tried. I will review your answers so we can understand whether this process is right for you.

You do not need to know the solution before reaching out. Just tell me what your dog is going through.
