About Avital Rien

I left high tech
to save Tani.

My path into natural and integrative nutrition did not begin in theory. It began with five months of sleepless nights, diagnoses that did not explain the full picture, and one dog who made me keep asking questions.

It began with Tani

The diagnoses accumulated. But they did not explain her.

Tani was suspected of having epilepsy, Cushing’s disease and chronic kidney failure. She experienced neurological episodes, blood in her stool and vomiting. I felt helpless, but I was not willing to accept that the only path was to fit her into yet another diagnosis.

I returned to her body: what she ate, how she digested it, when each response appeared and what had changed before everything began. The more closely I listened, the clearer the picture became.

I left a career of more than a decade in high tech to save her. That decision changed both of our lives.

The search led me to study natural and integrative animal nutrition at CIVT, a leading institution in the field. It gave me the professional foundation for a perspective that had already begun to form through life with Tani: understand the system before rushing to change it, and test every recommendation against the body in front of me.

My approach

I do not build meal plans. I guide healing processes.

A meal plan is part of the path, but it is never the whole path. I look at history, digestion, sleep, behavior, environment and the body’s daily response.

I do not believe in fighting the body. I believe in listening to it, understanding its inner logic and creating the conditions in which it can return to resilience and regulation.
